What is Interspirituality?

Interspirituality does not claim that all faiths are the same, it is not an admixture of traditions, it is not some homogeneous super-spirituality, nor is it concerned with competing truth claims. The fact is that in radically different faith traditions there are elements, available to all, that can give us common ground -- or at least connect us as human beings with big questions. Since being strongly identified with a faith tradition is no guarantee that one will have a deeply transformative inner life, religious people have long sought out mystical practices from different traditions. For many, interspiritual practice can converge in an experience of the unitive ground of being, of Oneness, of profound interconnection, of God’s unconditional love – the experience from which all faiths originate and seek expression. Interspirituality relates to Interfaith as a movement, as an outlook, and as an inclusive priority for an increasingly diverse and changing world. A personal experience of interspiritual practice can deepen your experience of your own faith tradition and expand your healing ministry.
